VISITS
Hazel has visited my Reception class on two occasions—first to share her Christmas story about Penguin and Pup, and later to present her Easter story. The books are engaging, with well-loved central characters, and Hazel delivered the sessions in an enjoyable and interactive way. She incorporated thoughtful activities and encouraged meaningful discussion, prompting the children to reflect on the characters and express their own opinions. We would love to welcome her back to read another story sometime!

Penguin and Pup - The Perfect Pet
Approximately 30 minutes plus optional time for book signings
A highly interactive session, ideal for 4-7 year olds (R-Y2), including getting to know me, story time, interactive game, quiz and Q and A.

Penguin and Pup - Story time sessions
Approximately 15-20 minutes
All of the above are available as shorter story time
sessions - ideal for nursery, pre-school or library sessions.
No PowerPoint needed for small groups.
Boots and Cats - Beatbox with me!
Approximately 30 minutes plus optional time for book signings
A highly interactive session, ideal for 4-7 year olds (R-Y2), including getting to know me, learning the basics of rhythm and beatboxing, beatboxing along with me, joining in with actions and movements, Q and A. This is a hugely fun session - focussed on rhythm and reading aloud - that brings a lot of giggles and a chance to see reading as something different.

Author Q and A session - Years 4, 5 and/or 6
Approximately 30 minutes.
If I am visiting your school to deliver one of the session above, why not add an author Q and A for older children? I will talk briefly about what's involved in becoming a children's author and answer any questions the children have. Some teachers like to prepare these with their class ahead of time.

Fees
I charge by the half day or full day, in line with the Society of Authors recommended fees. Travel costs will be added for locations outside of Lancashire. I am happy to do multiple sessions (e.g. for different classes) across a half day or full day.
